I currently have a plaster mold of this replication of a Hans Coper Spade (from the Palmer Musuem collection) and I am very excited about creating a rubber mold in order to cast in some alternative materials. I made curtains from some beautiful fabric in an old apartment and would like to reuse those in an installation. Working plan is to produce some half castings of the spade pot and embed those in the curtains (like tiles behind fabric). I would also like to cast the pot in a soil/resin mixture and stack multiple soil spades in a very large arch.
