I will be working with wax during the casting process of the pipes.
When I need to connect them, I assume I will be using more wax, maybe metal framing, and even possibly foam insulation spray to provide more stability in areas.
Copper finish: After the demo from Polytek, I was highly attracted to the copper finishing of the one face cast. Kaylie mentioned that there is an auto body paint that looks similar. I might acquire that for some tests.
Surface treatment: leave slightly transparent? copper finishing? or airbrush incorporated throughout wax cast?
This blog is for Penn State's Spring 2017 ART 497 004 use. On this blog, students are expected to upload in-progress images of course work and assignments. This blog is an integral part of the class as it has many links to tutorials, crit project prompts and applications/information relating to flexible mold making and casting applications.
